KidsCAN for 4-6 Year Old Children

We are very excited that you and your child want to help us make our world safer.

KidsCAN is a scientific study where we measure the sizes of children and with those measurements we can create safer products and environments for them to use. For example helmets, toys, medical equipment, car seats and anything you can think of that your child uses everyday.

The study is organised by the TU Delft on behalf of the European Committee for Standardization, and has been approved by the TU Delft Ethics committee.

Your measurement session will be at our location in Delft.

If your child is between 4 and 6 years old, you can make an appointment. You can make an individual appointment or come with a group of children to be measured at the same time. As a reward you get 20 euros per participant!

Book a time slot below and our team will contact you with more information.
What to expect from this session?
By getting measured with us you and your child will get the opportunity to learn about measuring and the importance of sizing for products and environments. As a participant, you / your child will help improve the safety of products for children!

Our professional anthropometry team uses manual tools to measure body, head, hand and foot. In addition, a 3D scan is taken from the body, hand, and foot, using safe, visible light 3D scanning technology. It is important to bring form fitting clothes to ensure good measurement accuracy.

The session, lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and takes place at TU Delft in the KidsCAN lab. Participants are rewarded with a 20-euro VVV voucher for their involvement.

For additional information or questions, please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions page or reach out via WhatsApp.
Before the measurement session we will ask for Informed Consent.
